What does Colossians and coconut oil have in common, you might ask?
Well, for me it's more than the letter "C"!
For starters, they are both given to man by GOD! Through the guidance of the LORD,
Colossians, a book in the New Testament of the Bible, was penned by Paul and Timothy to encourage
believers in their faith, which is to be rooted in the Truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Coconuts which come straight from a palm are also GOD-given.
When coconut flesh is dried, pressed, settled and filtered, coconut oil comes forth!
And boy am I glad!
My family and I have decided to kick start our new health challenge with Colossians and Coconut Oil!
HOW, you might ask?
Well, come along on the adventure with us and find out! I will be filling up this site with
specifics about our commitment to better health as we jump into establishing routine family devotions
and a new menu for our palates and our skin!
As you can possibly gather from our picture above, our family has differing opinions about our new commitment to good health!
I (the mom) am super pumped about going all out to an overall healthier lifestyle! My son, J.T. (age 8), is not excited at all about exhanging candy for cucumbers. Aysia, our eldest daughter, (age 5) is along for the ride and always ready to be my side-chef . Ella, our youngest daughter (age 3), well I'm not sure if she really realizes what's going on! From the look on her face in the picture, I think she thinks we've all gone bonkers! Then, there is my partner in crime, Shawn, my husband of 11 years. He has been awesome at going along with my new menu and he is our faithful spiritual leader of the family. A big thank you to him!!! But, from the looks of the picture, I'm not sure if he's so starved from our new diet that he is thinking of cooking up Sparkie, our pug (age 1), or if he's about to strangle Sparkie for making another bathroom related blunder!
We'll whatever the case, rest assured...I'm pretty sure our whole family is going to survive this new plan to stay healthy!
In fact, I don't think we are just going to survive, I think we are going to thrive!
