J.T. draws about helping the homeless through the power of Christ in him. Aysia draws a picture of her helping "a grandma" fix her teddy bear! And Ella draws a good looking person for a 3 year old!!!
This week, our family discussed Colossians 1:24-27. Paul says a lot in these verses, but the phrase that sticks out to us is "Christ in you, the hope of glory". It was exciting for me to contemplate what it means for Christ to dwell in us. If we have received Jesus as our LORD and Savior, we are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). When we were born again, Jesus came to live inside of us (Revelation 3:20)! Now, Jesus is all-powerful, so it's pretty exciting to think that Jesus and all His power is within us. It's not just enough to think about this though, we must believe it and truly allow this good news to be our hope! How can we live out the fact that Jesus and all His power is living in us? J.T. had a great idea this week! He said because Jesus is living in us, we can do nice things for others. Yes, J.T.! Through the power of Christ that is within us, we can go that extra mile and lend a helping hand to another. We can give to others, knowing GOD will supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19). Moreover, we can hang on one more day knowing that GOD will get us through our struggles. And we can lay our heads down and rest in peace at night knowing that Christ is in control of everything.
